The Tank Media https://thetankmedia.com Online Marketing Gurus|Social Media Marketing|Web Design|Graphic Design|Video Production|Podcast Advertising Tue, 02 May 2017 16:30:46 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.5.2 The Hats of a Social Media Manager https://thetankmedia.com/2017/05/05/the-hats-of-a-social-media-manager/ Fri, 05 May 2017 06:00:27 +0000 http://thetankmedia.com/?p=1043

Doing something new is not always such an easy task at the moment, if you know what I mean. And responsibility may not be your closet ally when you’re running ragged from a PTS lazy syndrome. So what do you do when push comes to shove and you have to do something that may show your lackluster inability in the public sector? Social Media doesn’t require you to be a social mogul, but you will have to come out of that closet meandering lifestyle. Oh, you can maintain in the high comfort of your three-man REI tent, or hang out in your rusted out Airstream or even lay naked in backyard hammock. Of the three, the latter would be a tad over the top, so maybe the first two would suffice.

What is a Social Media Manager?

So before we go too far, I’m not a fan favorite of working for the man, cause I tend to lean on the side of the entrepreneur. So when managerial skills are needed, I come up short sometimes. What is a manager, other than someone who takes care of biz? Looking out for others is all part of the game. You must wear the coat of responsibility, the hat of accountability and the pants of getting the job done, no matter the odds. A manager in the sports mecca is there to regulate, orchestrate or mitigate the entire team. So if you’ve been hand picked, or it’s all about rock, paper and scissor or you were held at gunpoint in a dark alley, then you be the anointed one . . . ala manager!

[1] Being a manager is breathing outside the box you live in.

We have to go out to get in, so to speak. The biospheric conditions we camp out in have to be expanded. There is more than the more we’re use to. It’s easy to think within four stuffy walls but the real world in real time really is outside the stinky box existence. Don’t let limitations limit you. Don’t allow for public opinion to squash your dreams. And never take a backseat to some scum-sucking, leach mongering piranha. Look for the answers, because they are there!

[2]Are you working for the man or are you the man?

Doing time in some else’s prison of sorts is not always a walk in the park, so to speak. Yet there are valuable concessions that make a minor dent in the fabric of our search for a better tomorrow. The man, who is the boss, is one who may have a handle on the pulse or is just flailing in the wind like the rest of us. If you’re on the other end of the spectrum, and work for yourself, then you answer to no one else but your lonely self. Time served is time spent, and the real reason for this blog is to help everyone on planet E salvage more happy hour scenarios for peace and longevity of the human race. Managing your lifestyle may seem rather dubious at time but you have to find the sweet spot so you can bring it on home.

[3]It may feel like your cleaning toilets on a daily basis.

Yes, the mundane or redundant nature of this duty is part and parcel of making something happen as a manager. You may not like it, and I get that a lot. You may not want to do anything and maybe throw in the big friggin white towel. Or you just might want to jump from the Golden Gate, but that’s tad out of your area of expertise so you tight rope in the comfort of your local 24hour gym. It’s all about being constant, it’s all about knowing your audience, and it’s all about having a total game plan and executing it on a regular go around.

So what’s on tap?

It’s you!

The Social Media Manager.

The Social Media Course That’s a Winner! https://thetankmedia.com/2017/05/01/the-social-media-course-thats-a-winner/ Mon, 01 May 2017 06:00:43 +0000 http://thetankmedia.com/?p=1026

If you were lookin for an online social media course that speaks to that inner child of yours, or is able to train the complete novice or even enlist a certified grade A numbskull, then you’ve come to the right place at the right time, my friend! This Social Media Course is a true, blue, winner, and why you need to take the time and make it your own, by investing in yourself and moving into the future.

[1] The first part of this course is finding your creative thread.

It’s all about learning what it’s like to exist outside that utopian box of normality. Challenging yourself to a regular diet of Mr. D’s spontaneous combustion and incorporating that into your social media platforms and then knowing what to do by managing my “ten and win” doctrine, which is percentages from our creative thought sessions, by saving them and archiving them for a rainy day.

[2]Next is adhering to a constant beat of regularity by never quitting, so put down the paddle!

This is a never-ending barrage of beating the same dead horse, so to speak, by making lemonade out of the shiploads of tart lemons. Redundancy gets a bad rap these days, yet it’s ringing in the halls of our educational system and the political sector. You need to stay on point when you’re trying to move the mass to a safe zone, so they say. It’s consistency that takes you to the head of the class. Learning the how tos for managing social media are all very doable and extremely simple so don’t be afraid to stand up.

[3]Number three is connection.

This is a lost art that’s pleading and bleeding for humanity to comeback to the basics of caring about real people again. Connection is that mandate that’s tying coattails with your fan base. When it comes to social interaction on the Internet, it’s all about connecting the dots with your adoring fans and helping them feel you really have a heart. It’s not the easiest chore to salt the oats so they drink, but you have to seize the moment to get a moment in return. The standard mantra of “what goes around, comes and slaps you in the face,” if you will, is so common place when you hide out in your abandoned Nike missile silo somewhere in the grandiose OC!

[4]On the docket as our forth candidate is being a bearer of light.

Sometimes it’s brighter than you think. Sometimes there’s gold up in them there hills. And sometimes it’s the super nova illuminati or more commonly known on the streets as “seeing the light!” We all tend to frolic in the darkness while crawling to make hay even though we should be stellar humans, by standing upright and bringing thirst quenching light to a drab world. Don’t we crave for a new day? Are we not dwelling on some fantastic paradise get-away? Is there not more to the dim lighting that targets our everyday path to nowhere? You’ll become a spokesperson to all those who are seeking Cal Trans Lights in full operation, so to speak!

[5]Number five is being informative or as I say, “jaw-dropping in prime time.”

There are those speakers or motivators traipsing the planet who challenge our core to a new and improved shell. They’re here for us to become better servants to those who are wounded by adversity. Information is gold, as long as it’s food to a starving soul. Information makes it happen, as long as it gives the tools to see it grow. And information respects the mass, by giving everyone the steps to becoming potentially great. Give the people what they need not what they want!

[6] Lastly, it’s about opportunity that’s knocking at our front door.

We tend to hide our head in the ‘sand of the obvious’. It’s easier to avoid than to deal. I’ve been there, done that a trillion times! They say, “Winners win, and losers go fishing.” That’s so true. When push and shove are on the gurney of life, we tend to run for cover instead of leaping headfirst into the mosh-pit of success. Opportunity is just seconds away. It may be a small tweak. It may be a huge metamorphous. Or it could be just changing your shorts. Let’s not forget that we’re only seconds away from manhandling that Mocca Frap or seconds away from chowing down on that Quarter Pounder. If we think there’s hope, then hope is prime time, and on it’s way!

11 Absolutes about Social Media https://thetankmedia.com/2017/04/27/11-absolutes-about-social-media/ Thu, 27 Apr 2017 06:00:58 +0000 http://thetankmedia.com/?p=1014

What Are the 11 Absolutes About Social Media?

When we hear the term ‘absolute’ we may cower, hide from or recoil into some stealth figurehead. There’s power in that logos! There are requirements that demand action and tons of what ifs, if we fail to act. Below is my take on the legal aspect to this natural birthright as Americans, who fly the flag of freedom and are still able to man the mouse and dabble in the social media hopscotch playground to get results.

They say, “money, knowledge and time will get you potential success.” Well, here are 11 absolutes that can assist you to be successful in walking on water and not drowning via ignorance.

1.Becoming Alex Trubek or the dude behind the curtain has always fascinated me to no end.

There’s always “smarter” on every corner, so don’t be fooled any longer! When it comes to Social Media, you have to have the answers to the bleeding questions. You need to research like your searching for a cure. You must take the steps up the towering ladder to climb K2 to becoming Yoda. No one in the social media hemisphere likes a dummy. It’s not the blind lead the blind, like so many other avenues. You must become the Doctor with the correct answer.

2.Virtual Reality is transposing the real into the real space of time.

People want the ‘eye to eye’ tour. They want what you want. They’ll look farther than we do if that carrot is dangled far enough. We’re not blood bros on this one but a close attachment is necessary for those looking in to hang on to what we’re ranting about.

3.Q & A is a common place after most sporting events.

A place to air the dirty laundry of the game or what really happened out there. Having a question and answer element in our social environment is part of the scratch and sniff we bring to the table. People love to have a chance, love to try and jump but they need the coaching, even from a distance!

4.Interact with your email subscribers because that’s what works.

Remember: connection is the authentic appeal to those who are craving transparency. Life breeds life. Closed-doors is only for those who are totally narcissistic. Our life is not our own. We have to trade punches with those we spar with on a daily basis.

5.Peaking for an interested party favor with clever content seems to be a standard modus operand these days in social circles.

What we say has got to be worth the readers time, wouldn’t you think? I have a tough enough time dealing with scads of pics that have no bearing on my life or any other mammal on planet E. Write like your life depended on it. Take time to make your own baby, but share the wealth my friend!

6.Listening is the first sign of caring.

And don’t we all want to show a little love around the campfire? I’m not begging for a show of hands or asking to be involved with regular group hugs but all I’m seeking is someone to lend an ear. We got to get off our high horse and take the time to hear what they’re saying. We have to make a way around ‘our life staunch abode’ type of existence and offer a olive branch.

7.Connecting the dots with all the social media platforms is a must.

You can’t play some random crusader. It’s not cascading like your some super hero! The team is a team. You have some that are good at what they do while the others are great at what they do. It’s a team that makes your social media mecca grandiose. All together now!

8.Like your friends or your customers on FB.

You have to step out of your comfy zone at some time in your pathetic wavering, right? Lend a hand and step across the mote. Come out of your panic rooms and seize the day by stating that you’re my friend. Friends make it real time. Friends are all about making community. Friends are here for the duration of eternity. Wow!

9.When we’re hatched on this barren oasis and become a full-fledged stellar humanoid, we get attention at first glance whether we like it or not.

In social media, you have to face the facts face first by doing something like the X Games. Jumping into the fire, or juggling knives or even swallowing some high-energy, caustic poison is how we’ll get the viewing bystanders attention. The time is ripe for getting eyes buggin-out-of-their-sockets!

10.Maybe earning social trust is not an easy go around.

Most of those on the Internet sense and feel dubious at first sight. It’s an uphill climb to ease the fear and correct the wrong. We all have a right to not believe a word someone else states. We’re Americans with rights front center. So a handshake or a nod will not always get court approval but it’s a start in the right direction.

11. Always stay authentic to your mission statement.

Do you have a purpose as a company? Hopefully it’s not only about the ‘duckets’! There has to be more than some day-to-day hoopla that caters to no one! Why are you in this business? What are your goals or purposes to existence? Asking questions will bring on the resolve for a brighter future. And staying on track to what you are as a company is a must. Stay true, stay constant and stay on track!

The 7 How tos doing Social Media Marketing https://thetankmedia.com/2017/04/24/the-7-how-tos-doing-social-media-marketing/ Mon, 24 Apr 2017 20:45:57 +0000 http://thetankmedia.com/?p=946

How to do Social Media Marketing?

Everyone’s looking for the “keys to life” these days, don’t you think? They’re either locked up in some black box, or behind lead-lined closed doors, or they’re dangling in a panic room nearby. And don’t we hate to have someone chime in from the grandstands and tell us what to do, when we think we know better? Oh, it could be our pride or it might be tragic history to refuse but usually it’s just a simple cry for help. So let me share seven helpful hints to becoming the master of your social media domain!

[1] The first thing we need to be aware of . . . is all the social media that’s available to us.

What platforms work better, how much is too much, or how can we make them work to our advantage displaying our company brand? Because they all seem so simple to set up, and easy to maintain, and I know we don’t need a masters to comprehend the potential. But these free mediums do require gobs of time and knowledge on how to connect with your fans. So knowing the potential landscape will help immensely.

[2] Figure out how to locate our market.

We have to know who will potentially buy our product or use our service. Whether they be found in a niche forte or the major populace, we have to know who wants what we have to offer. That is the ABC’s of using social media as a tool and not be completely overwhelmed by the amount of the unknown. The service or product we have must be or become enticing so there will be throngs of wannabe’s needing what you have to offer.

[3] Be aware of the tedious, daily-grinding, ongoing job-a-thon that we have in front of us and to remain in a “constant” mode of travel.

It’s imperative that we don’t lose sight or get distracted of the day-to-day process that will ultimately end with compound interest in our favor. Every social media guru may spin their tale from there slant but I’m stating here what has worked for me every time. Let’s never forget that no one wakes up at the crack of dawn to pull weeds in the back forty, believe me, no one!

[4] The fourth is being clever and creative.

Even if there’s not an ounce of inspiration in that shell of ours, we have to dig deeper and find that creative nugget even if the excavation crew has to dig to China. There has to be something inside each one of us that makes us shine above the rest. I know it’s in there, or we wouldn’t be sifting through this informative, jaw dropping blog together, right?

[5] Our fifth major ‘how to’ is to connect with our fan base or audience on each one of the social media platforms.

Each site has their own unique flavor and multiple purposes in mind, as they seamlessly work with absolutes that are grandiose for biz marketing, and all at the cost of a meager chump change exchange. It’s “eye to eye” that must take place. Whether it’s window shopping or gazing from afar, it has to connect with those screaming hordes who would die to just be a part of the craze!

[6] Six is converting, selling, turning over, making it happen, not wasting an ounce of time, or doing it until we can taste it.

Conversion is the one goal of why we’re actively engaged and working on it as a lifetime project. We have to bankroll our blood, sweat and tears to offset the scads of hours lost in translation. We have to sell our service, sell our brand and sell ourselves! Now that’s total sacrifice to the nth degree, “say I”!

[7] Lastly, the process has to be fun.

We can’t make it so taxing that we tax ourselves off the planet! We need to know that many have come before us and have succeeded, so let’s make that our focus point! Being winners and taking captives is still an admirable task while manager your social media fortress. Yet it all comes down to enjoying this part and making sure there is fun happening at its core!

The Brain-Gut Axis https://thetankmedia.com/2016/12/01/gut/ Thu, 01 Dec 2016 22:21:20 +0000 http://thetankmedia.com/?p=877

If you’re the kind of person that gets knots in their belly when stressed, you need to understand the relationship between emotion and digestion.

During the average lifetime, a whopping 60 tons of food passes through the digestive tract, so ensuring the digestive system is functioning correctly is extremely important. Without proper digestion, the body can’t receive the nutrients it requires to enjoy optimal health.

New evidence indicates that gut bacteria alters the way we store fat and how we balance levels of glucose in the blood and how we respond to hormones makes us feel hungry or full. The wrong mix of microbes seems to set the stage for diabetes and obesity from the moment of birth. For this reason, you need to make sure your digestion systems get a clean sweep regularly. Fiber-rich vegetables, especially green vegetables along with fresh fruits, are especially good at digestive cleansing and detoxification.

Did you know that many experts refer to the gut as a second brain? The average gut contains between 400 and 600 million nerve cells and like your brain, it contains numerous neurotransmitters. That means that your brain and digestive system communicate with one another all the time, this is called the ‘Brain-Gut Axis.’ So it would follow that if your digestive system isn’t working properly, your emotions will be out of whack [and vice versa). Even Harvard Medical School acknowledges that the brain has a direct effect on the stomach and the stomach on the brain. We know that the very thought of eating causes the stomach to release juices before the food even reaches the mouth. Some experts in the field even view the two systems as one. Professor John Cryan of the University of County Cork,Ireland, conducted an experiment to show how the gut microbiome affects the biochemistry of the brain and how two strains of the probiotic Bifidobacterium were more effective at treating anxiety and stress than serotonin reuptake inhibitors, as in medications such as Lexapro. Yes.. .you were right from the beginning, we can eat ourselves to a happier existence.

That leads us to an interesting question: can we treat digestive conditions–such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome [IBS] and Inflammatory Bowel Disease [IBD] (both of which are little understood) — by treating or controlling anxiety and stress? 15% of the population of Europe and North America suffer from these conditions and yet no one understands what they are and how they start. So maybe it’s not a mechanical breakdown of the body but rather a state of mind?

In a nutshell, stay calm to maintain a positive connection between mind and body, the Brain —Gut Axis. Supplements such as Aloe Vera, which is very soothing for the digestive system, can help when all else fails. You can also eat artichokes, which contain high concentrations of phytonutrient cyanine to aid digestion by stimulating the production of bile (bile helps digest fats and absorb vitamins from the foods we eat).

Pure Tips-Treatment for INSOMNIA from Oussha’s Pure Cure https://thetankmedia.com/2015/05/14/hello-world/ Thu, 14 May 2015 22:21:28 +0000 http://thetankmedia.com//?p=1

Millions of people worldwide suffer with insomnia. Insomnia not only affects your work and social life, it also wreaks havoc with your immune system and causes premature aging. As we get older, the effi ciency of our kidneys becomes depleted.

Studies have shown that insomnia may be associated with a deficiency of endorphins, so it’s important to maintain healthy kidneys.

People with insomnia tend to experience one or more of the following: difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking throughout the night and waking early in the morning. Scientific research has shown that insomnia can stem from a disruption of the body’s Circadian Rhythm–an internal clock that governs the timing of hormone production, body temperature and other bodily functions, e.g. menstruation, menopause and hormonal changes.

Excessive stimulation at bedtime is known to cause disruption of the Circadian Rhythm, so caffeine in the evening should be avoided. I also avoid sleeping near a cellphone since cellphones emit a great deal of electrical noise, you don’t realize the amount of noise a cellphone can make during the night (if it’s not the electrical noise, it’s the constant pinging as emails are received and friends post on Facebook).

Exercise and diet play a factor so it’s important to exercise regularly but avoid exercising in the late evening. Some people tell me meditation helps them and others swear by breathing techniques. Diet can make the difference between a good night’s rest and a sleepless night, so avoid drinking too much liquid before bedtime and eating rich foods. Fatty foods boost the production of melatonin and serotonin, both of which are associated with sleep. If you are hungry at bedtime and need to eat something, then try eating turkey slices, sheep’s yogurt or drinking goat’s milk. Foods which are high in tryptophan, such as seeds and nuts help restore proper serotonin levels during the night.

The holistic treatment for insomnia is multifaceted and incorporates many techniques, including herbal medicine. One herbal medicine I take from time to time is called Trance. It is available online. Typically, I combine it with omega-3 fatty acids during the day and L-theanine. I find it helps calm my nervous system. Coupled with this, I may use homeopathy for better results. I tend to prescribe based on the ancient constitutional type and mental, emotional and physical states. One great homeopathic remedy for insomnia is Coffea. Other remedies that also help are Ignatia, for those brooding over upsetting situations and Arsenicum for those who stay up worrying and fretting.

Insomnia can also be treated using traditional Chinese medicine. Some practitioners believe that insomnia is as a result of excess conditions such as liver fire, heart fire and food stagnations. Certain acupuncture points have strong affinity to sleep and can sedate a patient. For those with a chronic condition, an herbal therapy protocol may be needed to address the underlying condition and usually these focus on nourishing the heart and calming the spirit.
